Air Conditioning InstalledThe Church Council on June 15 approved a proposal from the Trustees to replace the sanctuary air conditioning. The old units are over 50 years old, ineffecient and cannot be recharged. So, we have installed three 3-ton Mitsubishi heat pump units. They are in and functioning beautifully and quietly. The dog days of summer are no longer a problem. An appeal will go out to the congregation as soon as it can be developed. We will self-finance and avoid any finance charges, repaying ourselves as gifts come in. Come, enjoy the cool!
2010 Flower Chart The 2010 Flower Chart is on the bulletin board in the lower hallway. If you are interested in signing up, please put your name next to the date you want. Cost is $15 per arrangement. Call the office with your order.

Nursery Helpers Needed:
We are looking for a few Nursery Helpers for the upcoming year. It is a small but important commitment of one Sunday every few months (depending on the number signed up.) If you are interested please check with the office.
Red Lion Discipleship Institute
We are on hold until September. Let us know what you ned to know and it will be arranged. A brochure with all the offerings is available from the office. Our fall emphasis will be small group ministry. Ongoing is the "Understanding the Bible" Class on Thursdays at 11 am. (Sometimes the time moves so call us first.) This is heavy discussion and theology.
Red Lion in Mission
Our team recently returned from service at our Red Bird Mission in Kentucky May 15-22. We are now moving toward our "Wilmington Project" in the fall - replacing a kitchen floor and kitchen remodeling for a family in need.
We raised 110% of our $37,666 mission goal for 2009 (that's $41,453)! Our Plans for 2010 are even more ambitious and we are already ahead of our goals. Expect great things from God. Attempt great things for God. A full report is available from the office each month.
Red Lion's Scouting Ministries Pack 92 is our ministry of Cub Scouting. If you have a heart for helping boys become men, a few hours a week to invest in them and a love for the outdoors, give Pastor John a call. It will make a difference. Yes, Girl Scouts are also part of the mix. We have three units sharing our facilities.
